Horses for Therapy

The horse is a warm, flexible and responsive animal, friendly and understanding. Riding is exciting, challenging and motivating.
The walking pattern of a horse corresponds to the physiology of the human walk, with movements up and down, side to side and backward and forwards. Adjustments by a riders body to these rhythms while striving to maintain balance strengthens muscles around the trunk, spine, hips and pelvis. For many of our riders we use "Hippotherapy", a special therapeutic technique, where the rider is positioned in various ways on the horse.
